Description

This product is a first pressing of The Kinks' album "The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society" on vinyl in a 12" LP format. Released in 1968 by Pye Records in the UK, this folk rock, music hall, and pop rock record features original cover artwork in a cardboard sleeve. The record is in very good condition, with good sleeve grading, and is a must-have for fans of classic English pop and rock music from the 1960s.
Vinyl has some signs of wear especially on side 2. Side 1 plays back really well with surface noise only really noticeable between tracks and very few clicks. Track 4 on side 2 is quite noisy and track 3 a bit less so, but there is not much else at all and it is really only one track where it's a bit off putting. The gatefold outer sleeve has some wear. The edges and corners are quite worn, with the top edge on the front part being particularly worn. There is a small tear in the bottom of the spine inside the gatefold and the spine has been a bit flattened. There are a few creases and a number has been written on the front in black pen. Overall it doesn't rate better than good. The inner sleeve is very good, but might not be the original. It is white with a hole and with a poly bag inner, which is what the original record had but the printed number on it doesn't look right.
