Description
The Kinks The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society Reprise RS6327, released January 1969
USA First Pressing. Two-tone W7 Reprise labels. Deadwax: side 1 - Z 30841 RS 6327 A -1B. side 2 - 30842 RS 6327 B -1B.
Very nice original example of this masterpiece by the Kinks. A recent reissue was rated 9.5 by Pitchfork.
Vinyl is NM-. Shiny, rarely played, only very minor brush marks and lines, no skips, minimal surface noise, no inner groove distortion.
Sleeve is VG. It is almost impossible to find a copy of VGPS without surface wear and ring marks, especially on the front cover -- the dark ink and unlaminated cover is difficult to maintain. See photos for details. There are some minor issues with one corner -- it appears there was some extra paper that was not "married" to the backing cardboard. But all edges are fine, no splits, inner gatefold is perfect. Ring mark on back is most pronounced at top (see photo).
