Description
On offer here is an advanced promo copy of The Laurels' The Devil's Well / Underground, Pye 7N.45034 1971. Bit of a rarity I gather. This has come from a large collection of singles that were given to my seller when he was stationed at an airbase in East Anglia in the early 1970s, and may have been used by the resident DJ. As he's said, "I've been carting these around for 50 years and need to let them go." They were in a box with barely a sleeve to be seen, which might explain the condition.
The A side plays VG though there is obvious crackle at the start. No distortion. B side is much the same though I noticed a bit of sibilant distortion when the singer hits his S's (no great hardship as the A side is much better IMO). Please see the video which samples the beginning of both sides (it's the first vid I've ever done for Ebay so please excuse the amateurishness). Comes in a plain off-white sleeve. The sticker on the A side might soak off if you're feeling brave. I have digitised both sides if you buy it but have nothing to play it on (unlikely, but you never know).
