The Lightning Seeds Tilt LP (Promo).
The VERY rare LP version of the Lightning Seeds' last LP of the 90s. This was only released as a promo with just 500 copies pressed in total. This is number 198.
Condition: See photos.
Vinyl- The vinyl looks fantastic BUT plays with a light but persistent crackle throughout. With it looking in such lovely condition I am assuming that it was a bad pressing but have never come across another to compare! I've played it through once to check. No jumps or pops just vinyl crackle throughout which is most noticeable, as you would expect, in the quieter passages.
Packaging- residue from a previously removed price label on the front and some slight creasing (evident in photos) but spine is good. When I bought it 2nd hand, it came with the LP in a generic 1960s dust jacket; I assumed that as a promo it was sent out without a dust jacket and replaced it with a nice one I had spare.
Although I loved their first three LPs (I remember as an excited 14 year old buying Cloudcuckooland on cassette the weekend after it was released) and had bought the Joy and All I Want singles as soon as they came out having loved Pure, this LP and Dizzy Spells never caught me in the same way as those early LPs. I picked this up recently because, quite honestly, I didn't know it had been put out on vinyl and thought I'd give it a second chance with older ears on my favourite format... I'll stick with Sense, Cloudcuckooland and Jollification ;).
There are a 5 copies available in the UK through Discogs as of today (25/6/23) four are over £100 ranging from £125 to £175. I've tried to price this fairly whilst being aware of its rarity.
