Description

Album: Satan is Real

Artist: Louvin Brothers

Year: 1959

Condition: Media - VG+ Sleeve - VG

The Jacket has a small crease in the middle, and 2 small seam splits; but, otherwise, looks really great. You should be able to see it in the pics provided.

The disk itself looks fantastic, with the exception of one scratch on the A Side. but on playthrough I noticed just a couple pops — nothing major.

Shipping: I generally try to ship in 1-2 days. I always ship with the record outside the sleeve in a heavy duty mailer. Insurance is at the buyer’s discretion.

Returns: I don’t have a formal return policy except “no returns,” as eBay recommends. However, I have, in my tenure, had 1 return. Most of the time, if there’s an issue with anything I go under the principle that you are in the right and I am in the wrong. But, please, don’t just take advantage of me.

GRADING SCALE (Based on Goldmine, with common-sense tweaks)

NOTE ON “MINT”:

In the comic book world, the sports card world, and pretty much every other collectible hobby, mint exists. Somewhere along the line, vinyl grading decided to pretend it doesn’t, largely because some burned-out hippie wrote the Goldmine standard a few decades ago and everyone just went along with it. It’s bogus to act like “Mint” can’t apply even to sealed, new items. That said—even I rarely use “Mint,” because the market has been trained not to trust it. So you won’t see it often here, but it does exist.

MINT (M):

Truly perfect. No flaws, no handling marks, no play wear. Usually sealed or unplayed.

NEAR MINT (NM or NM-):

Very close to perfect. May show the faintest signs of handling under strong light. Plays perfectly. The highest grade you’ll commonly see in real-world collections.

VG+:

Basically a NM record with one or two minor defects. No warping or tears. Gloss is shiny. Light sleeve scuffs or faint hairlines may be present but do not affect play. Clean labels. Pretty much exactly what a collector wants.

VG:

Noticeable wear and surface marks, but nothing severe. Some light noise may be present, especially in quiet passages, but it does not overpower the music. Sleeve may show ring wear, edge wear, or small splits.

GOOD (G) / GOOD+ (G+):

Heavy wear and obvious surface noise, but still playable without skipping. Sleeve likely has significant wear, splits, or writing. A filler copy.

FAIR (F):

Very worn. Significant noise, scratches, and visual defects. May skip or repeat. Sleeve is heavily damaged.

POOR (P):

Cracked, badly warped, or unplayable. Sold only as a placeholder or for display.
