A tremendously important progressive rock band, who went on to blend stirring psychedelic instrumental arrangements with outstanding lyrical songwriting.
Romantic, ethereal, sci-fi, and certainly imaginative - yet their first records were great R'n B. Danny Laine was outstanding, and surprisingly underrated as a vocalist - he was astoundingly good on this album!
These tracks are definitely of the era, MOD classics - some of which were also covered by fellow British RnB bands The WHO, Yardbirds and The Small Faces.
This lp is an earliest pressing copy, and replete with the cool photo laminated cover.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades NEAR MINT.
First MAROON ffrr large 'DECCA' Labels are NEAR MINT.
Very few plays, only a couple of spindle lines.
No pen or stickers.
The original LAMINATED GATEFOLD Cover grades VG+, very little wear evident, bright and clean but ripples to the front, perhaps from moisture. No water stain here though. A small tear to the rear opening edge.
