Description

An original 1st mono press of TMM's on the UK Decca label from 1965. Matrix 1A/1A - very 1st cut. Stampers 1B/1B - and under the Buckingham sequence this is the 1st ever stamper! If you need further evidence of just how early a copy this is check out the final track....BYE BYE BURD!...whoops that's an awful typo! Please note the labels exhibit the Decca deep-groove..if your copy doesn't have a deep-groove it cannot be a 1st press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono Robert Stace cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) A super looking copy that has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. A sweet rendition for sure which does maximum justice to these Moody tracks. Interference is both minor and infrequent. Interference is both minor and infrequent. In fact, the only track where I got a whiff of background was in 'Nobody Love You'. Just a few crackles here and there nothing persistent or invasive. For the remainder of the LP expect audio delivery of the top order!
Cover (Ex) A difficult title to find looking clean. But this example bucks the trend and really impresses. Just take a look at that front! It's totally flat and completely unaged. I can only make out one solitary thumbnail crease - there's no laminate lift at all. The rear looks sweet too and seems to have mostly avoided the ageing process. There are no scuffs, marks, or writing. Edge wear is very slight and the openings are still sharpish. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Would be extremely hard to find another example that could match this level of preservation.
Inner (VG+) Bit of ageing. But no splits.
