After months of meticulous sound crafting in the M Squared front room and only occasionally surfacing for food and air, The Makers of the Dead Travel Fast finally emerged with "The Vessels".
Using piano, synth, guitar, saxophone, percussion and anything they could find, the band delivered this genre busting tome, full of lush / jarring instrumentals. Packaged in a glorious full colour cover by artist and band member Tim Schultz, "The Vessels" was an immediate critical success and sold enough copies to warrant a second pressing. David Bullock played percussion for this release.

The Makers Of The Dead Travel Fast were an Australian band active throughout the early 1980s.
The band consisted of;
- Peter Richardson (piano, keyboards)
- Greg Addison (guitar)
- Steve Couri
- Tim Schultz (saxophone, bongos)
- Shane Fahey (synthesizer, loops)
The band released two LPs; Vessels in 1981, and Zoom Vs. Man in 1983. A retrospective called G'arage D'Or was released on the Extreme label in 1991. On 2 February 2002, Howspace listed the Chapter Records CD Can't Stop It: Australian Post-Punk 1978-82 as album of the week, saying that post punk ...was a unique period of Australian music then, and now, one we'll probably never see again. The album includes the band's song The Dumb Waiters.[1] In May/June 2009, M Squared released a vinyl set called M SQUARED - Pardon Me For Barging In Like This which included the band's Style Noodle on the third LP.[2] In January 2010, Ascension Records reissued the band's music on disk two of a commemorative compilation CD called Terrace Industry (ANCD036) along with bands such as Scattered Order, Systematics, A Cloakroom Assembly and Prod. In 2011, Ascension released another compilation called 41 Pardons which also includes six songs from the band.[3][4]

Apologies for starting this auction with only minimal detail. I'm not sure if this is a genuine issue or a reproduction. I'll also test play to see what the audio quality is like.
