Description
The duchess is back. Bringing to you another fine batch of rare/sought after items from my collection.
Including this one, The World of Icarus by Icarus. NSPL 28161 Stereo. Pye international blue label (see picture). Dated 1972. This terrific record featuring Icarus (see photo for band members - the three band members not shown are Peter Curtain (drums - Conan the barbarian), Norrie Devine (sax/flute - Dare devil) and Steve Hart (vocal - The hulk).
Tracks include-
Side one:
- Prologue
- Spiderman
- Three is fantasic four (my personal favourite!)
- Hulk
- Madame masque
- Conan the barbarian
- Iron man
Side two:
- Thor
- Black panthar
- The man without fear
- Silver sufer
- Things thing
- Captain America
Condition of sleeve is excellent (not quite excellent plus) due to a tiny bit of wear on the top left corner and slight wear on the spine. This does not affect the overall look of the cover. Has a lovely original shine and gloss on the front and back.
Condition of the record is excellent plus (side one) and excellent-/excellent (side two). Tracks play superbly on side one, played the record loud like the label on the record says, there is a tiny bit of static between tracks, but really it played like new. Side two - there was a bit more static on the early tracks (1-3) between quiet parts of the tracks. There is no real reason for this as it looks better (under a 100watt lightbulb) than side one. There is one 3/4" scratch between tracks 4 and 5 which does not affect the play at all.
A MUST for collectors of the Icarus and Marvel comics in this sort of condition. So don't be disappointed in being beaten by snipers at the last minute!!
Please note: for the unlucky losers, I cannot make copies of this record on tape/cd.
Collectable so get going on that bidding!
