Description

The Maxin Trio [Ray Charles]--Down Beat 171

Original 78 rpm record, Down Beat 171, The Maxin Trio, I Love You, I Love You b/w Confession Blues. Recorded February 1949. Playing surface is still bright and shiny with no dulling, chips, cracks, or other damage and minimal background noise. Faint red grease pencil X on both sides of label but does not affect overall appearance. Note the composer of both sides is R.C. Robinson [Ray Charles Robinson]. Piano and vocals by Ray Charles as well--this was Ray's first recording. Nice piece for any collector of early Ray Charles or 40s-50s R&B and is in Very Good Plus [VG+] condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
78 RECORD SHIPPING PROCEDURE: Record is placed in a heavy duty plastic bag, then protected with three pieces of stiff cardboard on each side, securely taped and double bubble wrapped. Assembly is then placed in a stout, well-marked shipping box. Will be happy to combine shipping on multiple records. Records will be shipped US Media Mail unless otherwise requested. Thanks.
