Description: Late 50's doo wop issued on the very small Herald Records label. Great car cover. I believe this is a first press. Discogs list two pressings, one in 1959 and one in 1960. I can't find any other confirmation of a 1959 pressing. Little is known these days about this group. They had a name change from the Mello-Tones and a couple of regional hits in the late 50's. This was the only LP they released and consists mainly of tracks from their 45's released on the same label.
Sleeve Condition: I'm gonna call this VG, but please read. Overall this looks really good, nice visual appearance. The color is nice, no writing or tears. Straight on, it looks VG+. Even still has the original price tag. The edges are bad though. There are old tape repairs on the top and bottom and the spine has an about 2.5" split from the bottom up. The back has some scuffing, but again, no major wear outside of the edges.
Vinyl: VG+, the vinyl is in really shape. Play tested a bit with no issues, sounds great - no skips, no pops - some very light noises in a couple spots which I think a thorough clean would eliminate. A handful of very superficial scuffs, that's it. Nothing feelable and nothing that really affects play. Labels are clean, nice original shine - no stickers or writing.
