SUPER DUPER SCARCE and COOL hot soul from the St Louis area on the Stax-based ARCH label. So few offerings on this amazing label, and this has to be among the most sought after! Actual audio playing, with zero filtration, no EQ, true mono pressing. This rates as VG-/G on the a side, with VG some audible scratches and a deep scuff. the B side rates a little better as VG-, but both played fine on my turntable (the faint stain on the center of the spindle hole is residual dampness from my enzyme cleaner that hadn't dried yet at the time of the picture, so it won't be there. not that it's all that unsightly) and the sound is very enjoyable, with a crisp program that has survived very nicely. These come up for auction very seldom, and there were only a few pressed originally, so even a 45 in G can be a very high seller if it sounds nice, considering that MOST of these were very loved and played a lot. I've been lucky to find a lot of very cool local and regional soul sides lately, so keep me in your favorites... so many more to come! WE DIG THE DEEPEST! When in doubt check out youtube for a listen, 'cause these are the coolest and the rarest! What's the big deal about promos?? Well in the case of many major labels, promos were pressed separate from stock copies. In many cases, such as A&M, CBS and MOTOWN etc, they were pressed on pure virgin vinyl, unlike STYRENE which was used for their stock copies. The sound and quality is markedly better and not to mention the rarity of them, in many cases being one out of many thousand copies.
