Description
This Moody Blues Lp came from the same collection (as all the other Moodies albums I've been offering recently) bought in England by a huge fan of the group as soon as the albums were released. So, there is NO DOUBT that this copy of 'Seventh Sojourn' was among the very first pressed and released in December of 1972. The sound quality is absolutely stunning....A wall of sound seems to be created as soon as the music begins; a depth in the sound which you don't hear with later pressings. In my opinion, The Moody Blues never surpassed the quality of music and songwriting found on this album. A very hard album to find as an early UK pressing and in this kind of condition.
Condition of Gatefold Jacket: Near Mint....I've rarely seen the cover of this album in such beautiful condition. There is hardly anything wrong with it..a couple of almost unnoticeable creases on the front...some extremely mild evidence of edgewear to the bottom...Spine is near perfect!
Condition of Record: Near Mint-....a nice heavy record with a beautiful shine and only 2 or 3 moments of background noise that can be heard only in the most quiet segments....Superb Audio from start to finish!
Condition of Photo/Lyric Insert: Excellent....a couple of inoffensive creases...that's it...colours are still very vivid.
Condition of Inner Sleeve: Excellent....Dated 11/72...'Seventh Sojourn' was officially released in December of 1972 so the date printed on the inner-sleeve is in keeping was a first press issue.
Matrix numbers....Side 1: XZAL-11772.P-4W Side 2: XZAL-11773.P-3W These numbers designate an early UK pressing of this Lp.
