Description

An original mono 1st press of "Most Of" on the UK Columbia label from 1966. Matrix 1/1 - very 1st cut. Stampers 1M/1O - placing this record amongst the first few thousand copies to roll off the press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L mono cover with flipbacks. Also included is an original inner sleeve from the time. It's a Decca inner, not the correct Emitex inner.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) [S1/S2] Still in very nice condition despite a moderate level of use. Under close inspection there are a good few light marks each side, one or two semi-feelable - seemingly nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback on Side 1 and then mostly VERYGOOD+ on Side 2..... with two deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. By and large a very nice player, particularly on side 1. There's little to complain at here just the occasional sporadic crackle. Side 2 has, perhaps, seen more use and grades a little lower. Expect a touch of light static here and there - nothing invasive or persistent. The deviations are.. a very brief momentary 1 second pulse of distortion in the opening bassline to 'Get Outta This Place'....and then in 'I'm Mad Again' - we're getting a bit of crackle here and there during this track. Nothing invasive it's just not as clean as the rest of the LP.
Cover (Ex-) In decent condition and looks better than many other examples out there. The front is clean and only exhibiting some minor creasing in a couple of spots. The rear looks very nice indeed and seems to have avoided much of the ageing process that seems common elsewhere. The flipbacks are all intact and secure. Edge wear is light and the spine pretty much entirely intact with all text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing, but no splits.
