From Verve Records (V-5005-2) this is FREAK OUT! by THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION, an original (first) US mono pressing recorded March 8-12, 1966 at Sunset Highland Studios; released June 27, 1966. Gatefold shows modest shelf wear o/w clean and very sturdy showing no split seams and nicely blocked spine with printing about center; inside gatefold is very clean with the "Hot Spots Map" ad.  Easily rates EX even with the minor wear. Note: Inside gatefold shows the spelling "tableaux" while label shows "tableaus" indicating a very first printing of the jacket. Original inner sleeves included (EX+).

Deep groove labels are MINT showing no spindle marks; playing surfaces visibly grade about MINT as well. Play grades EX to MINT with a faint whisper of extraneous noise between cuts.  The extraneous noise does not intrude into the music nor interfere with enjoyment of Zappa's biting social satire.  Absolutely no distortion. Hear this concept album (one of the first) as it was meant to be heard -- on old-timey thin edge vinyl in beautiful mono sound.  Solid piece and great listening copy.

Low opening bid with NO RESERVE.
