The Motown Story The First Decade Volume One Through Five A Limited Edition Motown Compilation (1970) Motown  (MS 5-726)  (2nd Pressing/Repress) (5) Record Box Set This five record Motown compilation was opened many years ago, but was never played. It has been gently stored in the 'never played' section of my record vault for decades. VINYL is Mint, overall. Volumes 1, 2 and 4 are Mint. Volumes 3 and 5 are Near Mint. Volume 3 has one superficial sleeve scuff/hairline scratch entirely in the run out dead wax area of side one. This is faint. Volume 5 has a few superficial sleeve scuffs/hairline scratches entirely in the runout dead wax area of side two. These are so faint I can only see them under a bright light. All ten sides of vintage vinyl have wonderful, 'like new' shines. All ten sides have super clean Motown labels. Under bright light, no 'skid marks' are visible around the spindle holes.   BOX is Very Good. It shows some light surface scuffs and scratches. It has some edge/corner wear. The box top (cover) has one split corner. The condition is not as superb as the records, but the box has very nicely protected the vinyl for fifty years. A fantastic early Motown compilation. Super clean vintage vinyl
