Description

Fabulous traditional Irish fiddle music from one of Ireland's greatest.....MICHAEL COLEMAN

IRC Records number 3327 dated June 1967. This is a virtually unplayed record of one of the finest fiddlers from County Sligo. I have owned it from new. It was obtained with great difficulty [ I believe it was an import from USA] by my wife who was at that time, 1967, a record shop manager!

Played no more than ten times. One very fine mark on record surface. Inner sleeve original with small split at base. Outer is as new with original cellophane wrapping [a wrinkle can be seen in picture 2].

This is a very scarce re-recording of some of Michael Colemans works from pre-electric days in around 1921 [originals supplied by RCA Victor and a private owner] and dedicated to Coleman's daughter Mary Hannon.

Michael Coleman was one of the greatest fiddlers to come out of County Sligo and was an inspiration for later generations of Irelands finest musicians.

This has been one of my treasured possessions but must now go to someone who will also appreciate the scarcity and quality of both music and item.

I will post first class recorded to the UK. If considering a purchase from outside UK contact me for revised post fees.
