Now I reckon this one is a bit different!
I am offering here one of my very favorite albums. The 1st album by the amazing The Only Ones. The brilliant songs and laconic delivery of Peter Perrett are driven along by ex-Spooky Tooth drummer Mike Kellie. The are complimented by John Perry's superb, original guitar work and Alan Mair's melodic bass. I acquired this copy from an 'interesting' market stall in sleepy Maldon in 1978. It is rendered somewhat different from the norm by the 'Property of CBS Demonstration only Not For Sale' stamp on the top left of the rear cover. I won't tell CBS if you don't, but I AM selling it! It still sounds bloody wonderful though (I always write these descriptions as I listen to the album so my audio descriptions are right up to date).
Both the cover and the back are in very good condition with the now infamous '.... Not For Sale' stamp in glorious gold lettering on the top left of the rear (see photo). The spine is, however, scuffed with much of the printing indiscernible. There is a very clean green insert with details of the band and supporting musicians and producer etc (see photos).
The vinyl is in very good condition with little surface noise. The small amount there is is only discernible during quiet sections. There are VERY few surface marks or scuffs and they are only visible if you look extremely closely under good lighting. The record still has a nice sheen to it. Hopefully this is clear in the photographs. The fidelity of the album is superb and it really jumps into life at volume with a great dynamic response that is so rare on many of today's over-compressed offerings.
The identification no's are 'hand scratched' on the run out and not neatly stamped as is usual and are as follows....

Also scratched on side 1 is 'SPECIAL VIEW' whilst on side 2 there is 'JONZ'.
I am NOT a record dealer or avid collector. I'm just a music fan with an awful lot of old, rare vinyl albums to sell and a desperate need to save for a nice PRS guitar.
