Description

The (Orig.) Traits – ‘Need Love’ / ‘Someday Soon’ – Contact 501 (US)

Group from Chicago’s Westside who cut two singles for Barry Despenza’s Contact label circa 1966-67 (their first was ‘Some Day Some Way’). Two great tunes, penned by Curtis Mayfield’s half-brother, Gregory Washington. While ‘Need Love’ was the original A side, the real killer is ‘Someday Soon’, which made some ripples locally back in the day. Make sure you give it a listen if you haven’t heard it before. Top copy of this rare record, not to be missed!

Condition: Excellent; a little dust, that’s all (please listen to the clips). Clean labels (please see scans).

Shipping from Sweden is expensive – though the rest of the world is surely catching up, not least the US – not least due to the fact that the weight increments are few and far apart, but it’s usually swift and safe.
