Description

The Outlaws - Dream Of The West

(HMV CLP 1489 UK LP 1961)

This is a 1961 UK Mono LP 1st pressing. It has a heavyweight front laminated flipback sleeve which has a large sized "Mono" on the front. It comes with its original tracing-paper lined company "HMV" inner sleeve. This advertises other LP's available at the time. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has mauve "HMV" labels which have gold text. Only the very 1st UK pressings have this label design. The record has 1st press -1N/ -1N matrix stampers. A genuine UK 1st pressing of this rare early 1960's Instrumental LP. Produced by Joe Meek for RGM productions.

Sleeve: There is light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear to the sleeve opening edges. This is not that noticeable. There is a very small strip of old tape staining on the bottom flipback (see photo). It hardly really notices. There is a very small crease on the bottom flipback in that area too. The spine is in excellent condition. Overall, Very Good+ condition

Vinyl: There are some mild, more moderate or moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are 3 or 4 light surface hairline marks. These measure from 3 cm to 4 cm in length. Overall, Good condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show mild spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & fading. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are no noticeable clicks or pops. Overall, a very serviceable audio copy.
