Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.

Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. MINTY CLEAN ~ Original 1969 rarity that has become increasingly more and more sought by collectors around the globe, for good reason.
Many fans & collectors find the peculiar kind of 60's psych-pop that the English made to be quiet enjoyable. Enter "Paper Garden" (a USA band) whom released this lone self titled LP on the obscure Musicol label in 1969.
English sixties psych & popsike fans need to check this band out. Paper Garden remain very much in style and flavor to UK underground'60s classics going for many times over the rate of this similarly obscure album.
Yes it has much in common with the UK psych & popsike greats, but Paper Garden take themselves seemingly a bit more serious at times than their English counterparts. That's not a bad thing as this album is quiet enjoyable spin after spin. The first time you listen to it, it is quiet striking how dissimilar it is to other US psych pop Lp's from the same time. If we had not known better we might have mistaken "Paper Garden" as being a '60s British rarity that you seldom see or hear.
Is it any good? Yes, upon the first few listens, as a whole album, it is pretty strong especially when the infectious melodies kick in surrounded by highly creative backing instrumentation. Immediately the rating bells ring in at the "four stars" range. Paper Garden were a very talented band, using a wide range of instruments along with period psych effects. There is an Eastern flavor to several tracks that is quiet pleasing. "Gypsy Wine", "Man Do You", "Raining" and "A Day" all have quiet tasteful sitar, tabla flourishes. Several tracks also have backing arrangements while others have string arrangements. All of it done very tastefully, making the tracks stronger. You get some nice 5-string on the break in "Sunshine Woman", toy-town organ on "Ladies Man", carnival like choruses on "Mr. Mortimer" and fanfare arrangements on "A Day". Quiet a varied album.
All in all though, there are plenty of reasons a fan of 60's psychedelia will enjoy this album, of mod & popsike catchy blends.
