Pink Floyd - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn - LP
Rare First Press XAX 3419-2 / XAX 3420-1
I'm selling my record collection and I'm not an expert or a dealer but will list LP details to the best of my knowledge and as I see them - if you have any questions or would like any further photographs then please just ask. The album is a great example of this timeless classic featuring Syd Barrett and would be a lovely addition to any collection.
This LP plays without jumping, clicking or sticking, it's not warped and doesn't have serious visible damage but there are minor surface scratches on both sides of the album. You'd expect these with a item which is nearly 50 years old and has been played many times however the sound quality is still brilliant.
The Blue and Black Columbia label shows minor signs of wear around the spindle hole.
The album cover hasn't faired so well, there is crazing on the front face which can be seen in the photographs - more pictures available on request. There is red biro writing on the top outer edge of the back cover. This is not clear enough to read in full but begins " Love and happiness...."
There is wear to the cover corners but the album spine still shows "The Pink Floyd" quite clearly. The matrix codes printed on the vinyl are XAX 3419-2 and XAX 3420-1

On 18-Aug-16 at 21:18:52 BST, seller added the following information:Update 18-08-2016 I’ve received several questions asking about the sound quality of this record so, with it being quite a rare item, I’ve asked a friend to play the record for a second opinion. I no longer have a deck, hence the sale of my collection. I’m told there are some low level pops during the first track on each side which fade before the end of these tracks.
