Here is another nice set from this collector's stuff.  This is the 16 LP 1984 "The Platinum Series" boxed set of US albums.  This is one of the rarest Beatles box sets ever issued - pressed in very small numbers to promote Capitol Record's foray in the computer floppy disc business, and never commercially available for sale.  There are also an ADDITIONAL EXTRA 3 records that were not in the original collection, "A Hard Day's Night", "The Beatle's Story" and "Let It Be", all on the Capitol record label.
See pictures for condition.  All record sleeves and vinyl inside the Platinum box are LIKE NEW.  Every record inside the box set is on the Purple Capitol label.  ALL INSERTS are in the package (Sgt. Pepper cutouts, and White Album glossies and poster).  The Platinum box itself shows shelf wear as is shown in the photos.  Some of the albums have an insert advertising "The Compleat Record Of The Beatles" book.
The additional records ("A Hard Day's Night" & "The Beatle's Story") are all also on the Capitol purple label [AHDN originally was a United Artists release], and "Let It Be" has a rainbow Capitol label with the picture sleeve insert.  "The Beatles' Story" is a PROMOTIONAL USES ONLY release (see photos).
A fantastic way to kick start your Beatles US vinyl collection.  Well cared for in a smoke free home.  This collection is GORGEOUS!!!!!
This item comes from the collection of a high end long time Beatle's collector.  Don't let this one pass!!!  It rarely appears on the collectors market and is a collector’s must have!

THE PLATINUM SERIES BEATLES COLLECTION (1984)      This is one of the rarest Beatles box sets ever issued. It was issued in very small numbers to promote Capitol Records' doomed foray into the computer floppy disk business with their Data Systems Division, and was never for sale commercially. It was only given to Capitol executives and close friends of the company.  The set was originally issued with 17 of the Beatles reissue albums - in actuality, the amount varied from 16-18! In this particular set, it's 16 albums of the originally Capitol/Apple issues chronologically from Meet The Beatles to Abbey Road. The labels for this boxed set are all the purple Capitol label (some came with the new black label or Apple label). The box is 12.75" x 12.5" x 3.12".
