Description
Found this in a junk shop some 50 years ago. The 'Pye records' cover shows some age - a bit tatty and one small rip. The labels on the record are undamaged and legible. @Alone Am I' has the 'ADVANCE PROMOTION COPY' stamped on it along with 'NOT FOR SALE' and a partial stamped date '13 DEC' and a partial '19'. Also the catalogue no ( I assume! ) 7N 17668 and a name '(CHARLES HERBERT) WELBECK'. Similarly for 'Locked In A Room' with the cat no '7N 17668 B' but no stamped date. 'Alone Am I' plays through reasonably ok. There are some scratch marks on the vinyl. 'Locked In A Room' does have some scuffs on the vinyl which are audible when playing. Both sides play straight through but there are clicks and crackles. 'Alone Am I' is a schmaltzy ballad type song but 'Locked In A Room (with you outside!)' is a terrific beat recording with some excellent guitar!
