Description

Here's a cult classic you don't see very often in this condition:  The Pope Smokes Dope by David Peel and the Lower East side, the first pressing on Apple Records.  His good buddies, John and Yoko, produced this one (just imagine the quantity of chemicals consumed in those studio sessions).   This is still a freakload of fun, w/tracks like "I'm Gonna start Another Riot, and "The Birth Control Blues."   Apparently Mr. Peel also helped out other irreverently-minded troublemakers, such as the young GG Allin, w/his Orange record label that he started after he got dropped by Apple (Apples and Oranges, get it?  Hyuck).  An absolute must, in great condition.
