Description
Portsmouth Sinfonia - 20 Classic Rock Classics as released on Philips Catalog 9109 231 in 1979 from the UK. Cover is VG++, bit of wear on top edge, minor bend lower left. Disc is VG+, plays well with the occasional pop. If you have never heard of this orchestra check them out on Wikipedia, Amazon and hear their inimitable style on Youtube. Both Michael Nyman and Brian Eno were involved with this orchestra. Their early LPs tackled classical compositions, This one takes on some classic Rock - Elvis Presley, Kinks, Who, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones and Beatles, etc. Its either diabolic or genius depending on your sense of humour, reminds me of the Residents at times...
