The Pretty Things - The Pretty Things
I am pleased to offer for sale this exceptional example of The Pretty Things' eponymously titled debut album.
The album features some of Led Zeppelin's most iconic tracks; Stairway to Heaven; The Battle of Evermore etc. and is a must have addition for any serious record collection.
The audio of this first pressing is simply superb! The Audio reproduction achieved by the heavy weight monoaural vinyl is difficult to improve upon. Take a listen for yourself below!

Album Details:
Serial number: 687341
Matrix number: 1L // 1 420 / 2L // 1 420
Stamper codes: 1 1 6 / 1 1 6
Vinyl Weight: 165g
The matrix numbers confirm that the vinyl is a UK first pressing. The mother and stampers codes communicate that the vinyl was produced from the 16th stamper plate of the first mother plate. Consequently, the audio reproduction is fantastic!
The labels are the 2nd variant, identified by the copyright control publishers credit for A2. This was absent from the first variant.
The vinyl is housed within the original first variant front side laminated sleeve with a paste over rear.
The album is complete with the original dark grey lyric inner sleeve.

Vinyl: EXCELLENT +
Labels: EXCELLENT +
The labels are bright, clean and without writing. Only very minor spindle wear is evident.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
The vinyl retains immaculate, factory fresh deep-gloss playing surfaces. In bright daylight a single stylus skate is visible to the surface of the record. Under the glare of a halogen desk lamp a handful of wispy paper hairlines are visible alongside an iridescent rainbow sheen.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
The audio is superb! Take a listen for yourself:
Please note: the eBay app does not support playback. Please use the internet site to enjoy the recordings.
Side 1:

Side 2:

As can be heard from the recordings, this vinyl has clearly been played cautiously on good quality equipment. All tracks play through with great clarity and distinction. There are quiet lead ins to both sides. It is quiet between tracks. It would be difficult to upgrade from this.
Sleeve: VERY GOOD +
The original sleeve looks fantastic. The laminate is clean without visible scratching and with the original lustre. There is some slight bubbling to the laminate at the spine. The cover art is bright and vibrant. The rear has some handling discolouration. The corners and edges show subtle wear.
Inner Sleeve: VERY GOOD +
The original inner sleeve looks great. A previous owner has written their personal catalogue information in biro on one side.
Additional Details:
Before the audio test, the vinyl was cleaned first by an Okki Nokki vacuum cleaner (using L'art du Son cleaning solution) and then an Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner.
After cleaning, the vinyl is housed inside a brand new mobile fidelity audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve.
The vinyl will be packaged outside of the sleeve. The album is stored inside an archival quality polypropylene outer sleeve.
The album will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
