Every so often a record comes through the shop that isn’t about hype—it’s about knowing exactly what you’re looking at. This is one of those records.
Offered here is an original 2002 U.S. pressing of The Pupils on Dischord Records (DIS131V), the only full-length release from the collaboration between Daniel Higgs and Asa Osborne of the legendary Washington, D.C. band Lungfish. Released during a particularly creative period for Dischord, the album blends hypnotic post-punk, folk mysticism, and minimalist experimentation into something entirely its own.
