Description

This 1/2 speed pressing is getting pretty scarce now. The vinyl was pressed by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab in Japan. Jacket was printed in U.S.A
The vinyl stamp (between vinyl and label reads: 1-060 A  with ortofon on side A and 1-060 B  ortofon on side B  If you hold it up to the sunlight, you can see through it to know it's authentic. It also has a unique stamp pressed onto the upper left corner of the front. I called Mobile Fidelity to see what it meant. The guy I spoke to said he has worked there since 1980, and he has never saw another one like it. He told me to give him a half hour (or so) to research it, and he would call me back. He called about 35 minutes later, and said: "WOW...Very unusual, WIERD". He said it would be next to impossible for an employee to add it on, because every album goes through 6 inspections before anything leaves the building (3 inspections for cover flaws, and 3 after shrink-wrap for damage inspection). He said "It must be a one of a kind, but I have NO idea why or for what reason". Look at the last photo and see for yourself (photo #9). It is PRINTED on the jacket, and not drawn with a pen.  Being "a one of a kind" makes this one a great conversation piece for your collection.
It has only been played a few times, on a turntable with the cartridge digitally tracked & weighed correctly.
The outer jacket, inner "Stones sleeve", MOFI inner fold-out, and vinyl itself, are all in NEAR MINT/Excellent condition. The vinyl has deep glossy color, with no marks (Like-New). This was pressed in 1981 (one of the early ones). NO BAR-CODE!!
The outer zipper is raised bright gold.  If you have any questions, just ask.
