I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers.
THE ROLLING STONES.
STICKY FINGERS.
UK ROLLING STONES RECORDS LP WITH ZIP COVER + INSERT - COC 59100.
A decent clean example of this LP with working zip cover. This is an A4 / B3 pressing with Promotone labels making this NOT the very first pressing. The disc weighs around 110 grams. Most zip cover examples of this record are seen very worn, this one on offer is better than many I have seen over the years.
The Record / EX / VG+ condition.
Side one is in an easy EX condition and is in great shape. Side 2 has one light surface mark at the start of this side. This surface mark does not affect play. I graded side 2 a strict VG+ condition. The record has a wonderful original gloss.
The disc is great to play and sounds excellent on both sides.
The Labels / EX condition.
The Cover / VG+ condition. The cover has some creasing to the top of the cover (the small tab) that is normal for this record cover. The left hand side of the spine has a thin stain. As you will see via the pictures this is a decent example and better than many you will see. This is a strong VG+ condition.
The Insert / VG+ condition. Some small creases to the corners with a little age wear only.
The Inner Cover / VG+ Condition. White paper inner cover. .................................................................................
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
