"We Wait On's Christkind"
2016 reissue! In the autumn of 1998 lost not only record Chancellor Helmut Kohl the Bundestag election, also another event shook the Republic: after ten years hiatus the Red roses with "We wait for Santa Claus" published their second Studio album. It was the hitherto best-selling German-language Christmas album, what ever released.
From this high point of her career was with the band unfortunately over the following years always steeper downhill. They broke up, shaved together again, broke up - a constant interplay. The last message that it has heard of them, dating back to December 2012. On behalf of a Swedish furniture chain, the Red Roses should once again play a Christmas tour in Brazil. Then in a jungle area between Fortaleza and Rio de Janeiro lost their tracks. It has heard nothing more from them since - and none has made himself ever bother to search them.
One can about Die Roten Rosen argue as you want, as artists they had undisputed world class and must be on a par with the greats of the Christmas industry here: Bing Crosby, André Rieu and Jesus Christ, to name just a few ... Now the time has come to remember this monument of German Christmas carol culture and give it what it deserves a long time: a re-release as a vinyl edition in the form of a double album with the finest facilities in time for the festival.
