Description
The Rollickers, a male vocal group, sing "Lonely Little Cinderella" and "Song of the Sands" on a rare, electrically-recorded Edison Diamond Disc 52600. One of the last Diamond Discs, which Edison discontinued in 1929 just before the crash.
The first side has great hot accompaniment by a small band, including solos and obligatos by a Bix-influenced cornet player, a tenor sax, and a violinist who sounds exactly like Joe Venuti. Recorded in New York on May 24, 1929. On DAHR (not this copy).
This record is in gleaming E condition generally, with an isolated tick here and there. Please note that it is vertically recorded and therefore requires special playback equipment.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing. I know how to pack records.
