Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Strong Excellent To Excellent + (Supremely sharp and clear sound, hardly any noticeable audible crackle at all throughout the tracks, very quiet and hardly any noticeable background noise in between tracks, quiet on the run ins and run offs, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, no serious loud pops or clicks that are noticeable. Strong Excellent to Excellent + sound quality (Playtested 20th March 2009)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Strong Excellent To Excellent + (there are around a couple of handfuls of very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record, these do not affect playback in any way, there is not a deep raised scratch in sight of any significance though, the record is very clean, there may be some additional barely visible paper traces from the record being placed in and out of the inner sleeve under bright light but generally the record is really clean, looks to have been played on a number of occasions by looking at the spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for extremely well, labels are very nice and clean with no rips/tears to the label, there is no major wear around the spindle holes, no pen marks or writing on the label, wonderful sheen to the record, overall a great copy visually)

Album Cover Grade: Excellent (some very light but barely creasing to 3 of the 4 front corners, some light creasing to 2 of the 4 rear corners, there are no spine splits and there is very little wear/rubbing to the spine, a clearly legible spine, there are no top edge splits, no bottom edge splits, there is hardly any rubbing/wear to the top and bottom edges, no major rips or tears in the sleeve, some very slight corner rubbing, some very slight ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, the sleeve suffers from only moderate discolouration/staining on the unlaminated rear, there are no pen marks/writing on the sleeve, no laminate lifting or peeling that is serious, a sturdy sleeve, overall a decent sleeve)

Extra notes: This is a 1st pressing on the unboxed decca label but it does not have the purple shadowed sleeve.

MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
