Description
The Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet 1968 Mono vinyl 4A/2A
Dark red 'unboxed' Decca label with silver lettering; full frequency range recording 'ffrr' 'ear' logo. Released in a laminated gatefold sleeve which does not have 'patent pending' text on the bottom right of the rear
The label design differs in many UK parallel editions:
- On this release the font used is more narrow than usual; the matrix number is in parenthesis, inverted above the cat.# and below J/T code;
- The GEMA caption has no full stops in between the characters;
- Side indication on the labels on the right hand side of the spindle hole.
- Matrix / Runout (Run-out side A, stamped): XARL-8476-4A
- Matrix / Runout (Run-out side B, stamped): XARL-8477-2A

Condition and details below:
I have listed this as a bid, or BIN under 50. Take a look at the last photo on the listing which is screenshot taken from this exact release (as referenced above). The last 3 VG+ graded have sold for 85,100 and 172 respectively !
The gatefold sleeve is intact, good inside gatefold no rips etc. Outside it has some marks and scuffs , a bit of ringwear and rubbing; spine is a bit worn and flat, not perfect but pretty good for its age
Labels and vinyl look great, only minor marks from previous usage. It plays really well, the odd light tick and crackle but a good, clear mono sound in the main
