Description

An original 1st mono press of BB on the UK Decca label. Matrix 4A/3A. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono gatefold cover. We also have an original white poly-lined Decca inner sleeve date coded to Summer 1968. As an additional extra we'll add a Red Mono Decca inner sleeve from this period too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In really nice shape and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few light marks - absolutely nothing heavy or sinister looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetween are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Some lovely original mono audio rolling off of this copy. Not perfectly clean in all areas, but a really superb rendition for the most part. We did detect a bit of background static in a couple of the lower key acoustic tracks - "No Expectations" & "Prodigal Son". Nothing invasive but don't expect these tracks to play as clean as in other areas. Expect a detailed warm and rich delivery throughout - this is the ideal way to hear BB. Crank It!
Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition and faring batter than many original '68 examples. Back and front are still reasonably nice and white - there are, however, a few blemishes down in that bottom sector on the front. The interior is immaculate. All colours perfectly preserved with flat smooth surfaces. Edge wear is relatively slight for this vintage and the openings are still sharpish. The spine is better than you typically fine with all text fully legible - just some of the laminate has worn away. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. 
Inners (Ex) Minimal ageing. No splits or markings.
