Description

Goats Head Soup is the eleventh studio album by the Britishrock legends. It was released on the Rolling Stones Records label in August 1973. Its lead single “ Angie” went to #1 in the U.S. and the Top 5 in the UK. The album was to be their last with ace producer Jimmy Miller. Bill Wyman plays on only three of the albums ten tracks. Regular Stones collaborators Bobby Keys, Billy Preston, Nicky Hopkins and Ian Stewart also appear. Not particularly loved by critics when released it has grown in stature and includes fan favorites such as “Do Do Do Do Do (Heartbreaker)” and “ Dancing With Mr. D”, which happens to be about Demerol in case you were wondering. Nice and crisp first press gatefold copy from ‘73 here.
