Description

An original 1st press of GYYYO on UK Decca from Sep-1970. Matrix 1W/1W. Stampers 1-BH/1-HH. Please note label design is consistent with 1st press and they still hold the incorrect publishing date of  '1970'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original fully laminated cover printed by British Celanese. Also included is the original blue and white Decca inner sleeve date coded to summer 1970 a couple of months prior to 1st release [07-70 = July 1970]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In excellent condition and ha only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is practically non-existent. All we detected was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments - i.e. practically nothing. Even in the low-key numbers playback is super-clean and fidelity is extremely impressive.
Cover (Ex+) In fantastic condition and has clearly been looked after very carefully. A lovely shiny unmarked front with just a tiny amount of laminate lift, as is common, over against the spine. The rear is in similar condition and seems to have practically escaped all ageing or creasing. Edge wear is super light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat. A superb specimen by any standard.
Inner (Ex-) Relatively unaged. No seam splits. Just a slight tear at the opening which has been repaired.
