Description

An original 1st press of GYYYO on the UK Decca label from 1970. Matrix 1W/1W - very 1st cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Upton printed fully laminated [back & front]. Also included is an original Decca blue and white inner sleeve date coded to Summer 1970 [07-70] just two months prior to first release. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In very nice condition and has only seen light use.  Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A perfect illustration of the STONES liver at the height of their powers...perhaps one of their finest moments. The audio from this release is particularly impressive given much of the recording is live feed. Even 'Love In Vain' - the test track...plays nice and clean. Interference is minor and infrequent. Expect nothing more than a few isolated in a couple of isolated spots per side. The only deviation is a couple of ticks in the opening seconds of Stray Cat Blues. They occur almost in the gap between tracks and are pretty much over before the song actually starts for real - so no big deal at all. A really nice player and a testament to the pressing quality of this Decca record.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. The front is nigh on perfect with just a bit of that obligatory laminate lift along the spine edge and a couple of tiny thumbnail creases. The rear looks great and appears to have avoided the usual ageing process with no creasing at all. Edge wear is very light indeed and the openings are still sharpish. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Very nice indeed!
