The Rolling Stones  "Hot Rocks"

This is an original US vinyl pressing on London 2PS 606/607  from 1971.     It is a double album greatest hits package.     This is an early pressing with alternate versions of 'Brown Sugar' and 'Wild Horses'.    'Brown Sugar' starts with a different intro.     The clickety-clicks are hardly noticeable.    The guitar intro sounds muddy.   Then there are cymbols loud and out of place.   And the short guitar solo before the vocals is different.        'Wild Horses' has a completely acoustic intro.     It is missing the light guitar overdubs that sound so good.    And the vocals have echo.       These were mistakes and were immediately corrected on all future pressings.      The way to identify this pressing is to see the date : 11-18-71 in the trail off area of side four.     This album comes with a tri-fold insert that shows all the Stones albums and lists all of the songs.

The Matrix numbers on side four are :  XZAL 11018   Shlley   11-18-71.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG+ /  Record is M- & M-

The gatefold cover is VG+ with no ring wear, no writing , and no seam splits.   There is light overall cover wear, mostly on the front cover.     The vinyls look near mint and they play near mint.    There is light static at the very beginning of each side.    But there are scuffs or scratches.    There are three light pops between song 3 and song 4 on side four.     The labels are clean with no spindle marks.  The records come in London inner sleeves.

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 14 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 30 ounces ( 1 pound, 14 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.    You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.     I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
