Description
A Mono Let It Bleed on the UK Unboxed Decca label from 1969. Matrix 2A/1A. Stampers 1B/1BC. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by British Celanese Ltd 'Printed In England'. Also included is the original red mono Decca inner sleeve without the London Bach Choir redaction. And to make this a complete outfit - the original poster in beautiful condition.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) Has seen a moderate amount of use, but these early mono copies more than stand the test of time. Please expect a couple of marks on side 1 and then several on side 2 - none are what you'd call feelable and they do not cause real issue [please take this all on-board]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback for the most part with a couple of deviations. It's no surprise that when an original copy has been well cared for it really can sound amazing. There's great warmth and depth to the sound that just doesn't quite exist in the stereo format. Intros and inbetweens are generally pretty quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and only occasional interference. The only deviations from this level are ...Love In Vain - almost impossible to find quiet...this exhibits a touch of light static. Also, there's a touch in the mid-section of Midnight Rambler and then again through You Got The Silver. Other than that any interference is slight and does not really register. The interference in these two tracks, whilst audible, is in no way invasive. Weigh this copy up in the round - it certainly isn't perfect, but it isn't that far off a straight Ex either which is no mean feat on a complete Mono LIB.
Cover (Ex) In really nice condition and that is quite a find because they are usually not found in the best of condition. The front is nice and shiny with only the very lightest of creases. The rear is great and seems to have escaped the usual wear and dirt found on may copies. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and is a well above average example.
Poster (Ex+) Wowzers...truly amazing. Almost like new. No rips or markings. Has most certainly never seen a wall.
Inner (Vg+) Seams are all intact, but there's an ageing patch in one corner. Otherwise aok.
