Let it Bleed: Rare 1969 UK 1st pressing of the 9-track stereo vinyl LP on the dark blue 'boxed' Decca logo label, complete with original blue and white credits inner and large 19" x 21" fold out full colour poster. The front laminated picture sleeve shows just a few light signs of its 44 years and the vinyl remains excellent for its age - a wonderful copy!
One of the Stones' most beloved albums, 1969's Let It Bleed was a benchmark for several reasons. First, founding guitarist Brian Jones died during the recording process. Second, the Stones take their last significant look at pure blues (Robert Johnson's spooky "Love in Vain") and country ("Country Honk," the two-stepping alter ego of "Honky-Tonk Women") before folding both styles into a cohesive rock ‘n’ roll vision. Third, it contains some of the band's most eerie hits, such as the flame-enveloped "Gimme Shelter," the drug-reality anthem "Monkey Man," the epic "You Can't Always Get What You Want," and Mick Jagger's menacing "Midnight Rambler."
Highly desirable for its first press matrices and increasingly hard to find in even reasonable condition, this copy is in VG+/EX condition. And as these first UK pressings come up so infrequently in this condition this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to add this extreme rarity to your collection at an extremely advantageous price.

This rare UK FIRST ISSUE of the last Rolling Stones LP of the sixties, complete with poster is hardly ever offered for sale in this condition.

This is the extremely rare real thing: a GENUINE UK first pressing in VG+/EX condition. The record, cover and inner sleeve are all in excellent condition, without any obvious defects (the only reason I have not given the vinyl an EX grading is because of the occasional light crackle here and there that us oldies love but younger listeners are not used to). The very rare poster has been pinned up on a wall at some time in the distant past but is otherwise also in immaculate condition. See pics. All items are the genuine originals bought together by me in 1970 not reprints. The LP is the original UK first pressing stereo LP, which was only played on top-end audiophile equipment and lovingly cared for.

Note: The first pressing of Let it Bleed included both ‘boxed’ and ‘non boxed’ Decca labels. The change to boxed labels was actually taking place gradually during the last months of 1969 and Let It Bleed was out in the shops at the same time with both non boxed and boxed versions.
Also Through The Past Darkly that was out in the shops a couple of months earlier (mine is boxed). Even The Promotional Album RSD-1 is said to exist with both versions of the label despite the fact that only 200 copies were manufactured.

Let It Bleed is the eighth British and tenth American album by English rock band The Rolling Stones, released in December 1969 by Decca Records in the UK and London Records in the US. Released shortly after the band's 1969 American Tour, it is the follow-up to 1968's Beggars Banquet and the last album by the band to feature Brian Jones as well as the first to feature Mick Taylor.

There was only one version of Let It Bleed. This is it. It was released simultaneously in the UK and US on Dec 5, 1969. The Stones had the guts to leave off their July megahit Honky Tonk Woman and instead (much to the chagrin of record company execs) put a countrified satire of their own hit on the album. The Let It Bleed sessions also produced 3 of their finest works that are not on the album (Honky Tonk Woman, Sweet Virginia, and Sister Morphine).
The album contains a huge chunk of the work that made the band famous for this era....Gimme Shelter, Love in Vain, Let It Bleed, Midnight Rambler, and You Can't Always Get What You Want have all pretty much defined not only the Stones but this era of English-speaking history to the world. The album is a staple in every serious rock collection.....it's that simple.
