Description
For sale is a copy of Rolling Stones second studio album, No. 2.
This is an original UK Mono 2nd Pressing on unboxed Decca label.
This copy features the ‘blind man text’ on the rear of the sleeve. This text was removed from later copies after The Association of Blind People complained.

Many vinyl records are mis-sold on eBay. Whilst Decca pressings were not as precise as other record labels, there are several details which identify this copy as a true 2nd pressing. They are:
- · Front side laminated James Upon Ltd. non-flipback sleeve.
- · Red labels with an unboxed Decca logo in silver text.
- · Grooved labels on both sides 1 and 2.
- · Catalogue number LK.4661.
- · Both Side 1 and Side 2 have label design No 4 version 2(from https://www.stonesondecca.com/the-60s-decca/rolling-stones-no-2/)
- · Matrix numbers XARL-6619-2A (side 1) and XARL-6620-1A(side 2).
I try to take pictures which provide a fair representation of the condition of a record and the sleeve. If interested, please read below for a detailed discussion including an audio description.
I use the Goldmine standard as a reference for grading.
Vinyl: Very Good +
The vinyl is in great visual condition and plays well.
The vinyl surface retains the original gloss sheen.
The labels are clean with bright colours and acceptable spindle wear.
Both sides have a handful of surface marks that can be picked up in the light.
The audio on both sides is great with minimal background noise.
A really enjoyable record to listen to.
Sleeve: Very Good +
The iconic sleeve looks great.
There front is clean with only a couple of laminate ripples.
The corners and spine show subtle signs of storage wear.
The back is slightly discoloured but is respectable.
There is a name written on the top edge.
Inner Sleeve: Very Good +
The inner sleeve is the original lined ‘Handling/Playing’ die cut inner.
It is very clean with minimal discolouration.
There are a couple of creases to both bottom corners.
Also included in the sale is an audiophile quality inner sleeve which provides the best possible protection for the record.
This is a great early pressing of The Stones second album and would be a great addition to any collection.
The outer sleeve, vinyl, and inner sleeve are all housed within a premium quality polythene outer sleeve.
The record will be sent within a padded vinyl record mailer and will be sent via an insured courier.
