Pressing: 1st Pressing. This Copy For Sale Here Also Has The Mega Rare Transitional Cover And This Misprinted Labels. The Earliest 1st Pressing Of This LP Pressed In 1965 & Most Of 1966 Had A 1st Press Cover With A 'Blind Man' Credit In The Text On The Reverse Of The Cover.  However At Some Point The Reference 'Knock A Blind Man On His Head And Steal His Loot' Was Obviously Noticed & Deemed Offensive. So The Covers Were Changed To Omit This Offensive Remark. However They Were Obviously Changed Quite Late On In The Pressing Run (Probably Around 1966/67) As All 1965/66 Original 1st Pressings Do Have This Offending 'Blind Man' Credit. And Certainly It Is Much  Harder To Find A 1960s Original Pressing Of This LP Without This Credit Than With It! However Between The 1st Pressed 'Blind Man' Credit Covers & The Later 'No Credit' Covers - Comes This Impossibly Rare LP With A 'Transitional' Cover! This LP Has The Impossibly Rare 'Transitional' Cover From Approx Late 1966/Early 1967 With An Extra 'Paste On Cover Back' - Which Covered Up The Offending ''Blind Man' Text! Obviously When The Order Had Been Given To 'Change' The Cover & Remove The Offending 'Blind Man' Text - There Were Still A Very Few 1st Press Covers With The Offending 'Blind Man' Credit Left On Them! So Rather Than Wastefully Destroying Them - A 'Slick' Of Paper With The New Cover Back Text (Omitting The Credit) Was Stuck Over The Back Of The 1st Press Covers! Only An Absolutely Tiny Handful Were Ever Made Like This & Today Finding A Mega Rare 'Transitional' Cover Is Simply Impossible! This 'Paste Over' Slick Of Course 'Omits' The Blind Man Text, (Though Of Course The Original 'Offending' Text Is Still There Underneath The 'Amended' Paste On Slick!) This Copy Also Has A Mega Rare Label Misprint/Mismatch! If You Look At The Pictures Of The Labels You Will See That On One Side It Says 'Made In England' At The Top Of The Label - Yet On The Other Side It Says 'Made In England The Decca Record Co. LTD'! Clearly A Rare Set Of Misprinted/Mismatched Labels.

Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play Grade Very Good + (Supremely sharp and clear sound, very minimal audible crackle throughout the tracks, very minimal background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, no serious loud pops or clicks apart from a few light clicks for 3 seconds or so per revolution on ‘I Cant Be Satisfied’ on side 2. Very Good + sound quality (Playtested 12th April 2008)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Very Good + (There are quite a few very light superficial hairline surface marks covering both sides of the record but they are definitely not overpowering and are reasonably scarce, there are also 3 or 4 more feelable small scratches on the record which slightly affect play by causing some of the light pops/clicks per revolution (as mentioned above), looks to have been played on a number of occasions by looking at spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for very well, a generally clean record where the surface is largely unmarked but for the aforementioned light marks, labels are clean with only slight wear to the spindle holes, there is no writing/pen marks on the labels and there are no rips/tear to the labels, overall an OK copy visually)

Album Cover Grade: Very Good + (some slight creasing to the front top right and front bottom right corners, no major creasing to the rear corners, there is a slight 3cm spine split on the centre of the spine bit it is a still clearly legible spine, there is a slight top edge split at the sleeve opening of about 3cm where someone has probably tried to force the record back in, no bottom edge splits, hardly any rubbing/wear to the spine and the edges overall though, no major rips or tears in the sleeve, some light corner rubbing, some noticeable ringwear on the front and back, there is no serious pen marks/writing on the sleeve apart from a slight 4cm line in black biro on the rear, some slight laminate lifting on the front sleeve 2cm parallel to the spine all the way up, the sleeve is reasonably clean and only has moderate discolouration and staining on the rear unlaminated sleeve, overall a ok sleeve)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
