Description

The Rolling Stones “Rolling Stones No.2” Original 1964 Pressing MONO UK LP. Decca LK 4661. With original inner sleeve. Laminated Flipback LP Jacket. Made in the United Kingdom.

Beautiful, exceptionally preserved, 1964 pressing of this gem of an album. Some small portions of the front cover has minor laminate creases (mainly around the edges) which are really slightly more noticeable when scrutinizing it closely and tilting the cover at just the right angle against direct sunlight. There are no cracks in the laminate, however (see pics).

The back cover has amazingly retained much of its original bright white luster. No seam-splits, rips, tears, or handwriting. Corners are crisp with some very minor “crinkles” to a few. Spine has clearly legible text.

VINYL: has a deep, rich, shiny, mirror-like sheen. Beautifully preserved. If you were to tilt the vinyl at an angle against a strong light source, some wispy hairline marks, faint blemishes, and line marks become faintly visible. These marks are otherwise more difficult to discern under normal room light. Please see the collage pictures of the vinyl surface and grooved labels taken in both normal room light and tilted at an angle against sunlight

The original inner sleeve has a seam-split on the middle portion of one edge and a slight tear along the bottom edge (See pics).

Side 1 Matrix/Stampers: XARL-6619-2A (this at the 6 o’clock position); 1 (this is at the 9 o’clock position); U G (this at the 3 o’clock position); KT (this is very faintly at the 12 o’clock position)

Side 2 Matrix/Stampers: XARL-6620-2A (this at the 6 o’clock position); 3 D (this is at the 9 o’clock position); C G (this at the 3 o’clock position. The “G” may also be a “B” or another “C” as it is very difficult to discern); KT (this is very faintly at the 12 o’clock position)
