This is a FIRST 1967 Mono PRESSING of (THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST) , It has the highs and lows of a rawness that is missing with the digital recording
This is a must for any collection.
P1 and 1P on the matrix
It comes with the the original vinyl cover
The vinyl labels are the blue and and have wear marks but no writing.
This is a vey rare true mono it took me a very long time to find one with the true matrix on both sides On side one you can hear a pop and crack here and there are a lot of service wear that can be seen under a light the same with side two So you have to way up how much you want to pay for a true 1967 mono first pressing in your collection when you are biding ? Even if it has a lot of marks ? At the start of lantern you here three bells sound. You only hear this on a true mono. Not a fold down.
One jump on lantern where It misses a word that’s the only jump on the whole album, no stops or wobbly it sits on the turn table and plays sweetly. Nothing to spoil the overall enjoyment of the music.
So I would grade the vinyl as only very good according to gold mine standard. As you can hear crackle and pops during the quiet parts of the songs.
Album no TXL 103 side one matrix ARL 8126-1P1 side two ARL - 8127-1P
There is an extra 1 in the matrix on side one as the first 1 appears on the wrong side of the P and has been stamped on afterwards to put it right.
The cover is Very good plus it has no marks or writing any where. This is a first mono pressing with the LENTICULAR 3 D GATEFOLD 3 D Lenticular apart from on the Maize there is a very faint pencil mark that you can only see under a light, and on the front a slight creese on the cover you can hardly notice it.?I have taking lots of photos of the vinyl and album, the corners have sight wear. A good plus according to gold mine standard for the cover.
