Description
This is an interesting assembly of songs from about a 11 year period from 1963 - 1974 issued on Cream of the Crop Records.
Side one has several early studio numbers that showcase harmonica and the Stones' commitment to Chicago blues. Interestingly, the last 2 songs on side one, Let It Rock and Love in Vain are from their 1972 US tour. Let it Rock in particular is a great version I had not heard before. Love in Vain from '72 is different from their '69 tour - it's a slow version with Mick Taylor's blistering slide guitar.
Side two is a head scratcher - it begins with an announcer from their '72 tour and the sound of an audience, but the first 3 songs are directly from their 1974 album It's Only Rock n Roll. Again, the last 2 songs, All Down The Line and Bye Bye Johnny are actually live from the '72 tour. Bye Bye Johnny's a good version, cooking along because the band is hot from the tour, with Keith's background harmony vocal.
It needs to be noted that side two has a muffled, bootleg type sound to it so the fidelity isn't fabulous. The record itself has cool label art and no scratches at all. The album cover is intact but fair quality. It's for sure a unique album that is worth having if you're a Stones fan.

In an effort to decrease my footprint on the planet as an on-line seller I am switching to 100% recycled and reusable poly mailers whenever possible. USPS flat rate items will still come in USPS packaging. I reuse bubble wrap, tissue and air packs. Thank you for supporting this decision!
Ebay does an excellent job of bringing my items directly into your home for purchase. I only charge what the actual shipping will be. I often offer 2 shipping options, please explore which is the best for you. You will see a $1 handling cost on most items. This helps me offset the price of shipping materials, time and gas.
Thank you for understanding!
I aim to please and appreciate your positive reviews.
