The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers
(Rolling Stones Records COC 59100 UK LP 1971)
This is a UK original LP pressing. This is one of the rarer UK original pressings which has a larger style Zip on the front. It has a heavyweight matt sleeve which has a die-cut area around the zip & belt buckle. The Zip. as stated, has the larger style rounded zip. It comes complete with its original Picture/ Information Insert. It comes with its original company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has 1st press A-4/ B-4 matrix stampers. "Rolling Stones Recprds" and "TML" are etched in the dead wax on both sides.
Sleeve: There is a mild crease to the small die-cut piece at the top of the buckle. There is a light crease to the bottom of the buckle too. There is some mild rubbing wear to the bottom edge in some areas. There is some light or very mild ringwear. There is some light or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. VG+ condition
Vinyl: Unfortunately there is a light to very mild overall warp. There is also an extra small edge warp. This smaller edge warp causes some light or mild distortion, or dull thud, per revolution for about 1 minute at the start of Side 1 and Side 2. It does not jump on my system but, as stated, it does affect the playback. It is possible that it may jump on another system so please bear this in mind when bidding. The other warp does not affect the playback at all. It's a shame because the vinyl is okay otherwise. It is possible, I believe, to somehow un-warp this record. However, I will leave this to someone more experienced.
Otherwise, There are some light, mild to very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There is a small cluster of more moderate rub marks on one side. There are about 3 or 4 light hairline marks. These are mainly quite small. There are some light or very mild pressing marks in a couple of small areas. Visually the disc looks VG+, but because of the edge warp. Fair+ condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear. The company paper inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is some light to mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.
The Picture/ Information Insert is in VG++ condition. There is some light or mild fading to the "white" of the insert.
I have fully play tested this LP. As stated, there is a small edge warp at the start of both sides. This causes some light or mild distortion per revolution for approximately 1 minute on each side. It does not jump on my system. Otherwise, the rest of the album plays VG+ to Near Excellent overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places.
