This is a UK original LP pressing. This is the rarest UK original sleeve variation which has a Gatefold Sleeve. It is believed that this was a printing error. It should have been assembled like a "normal" pressing. But due to a printing error - it ended up having a gatefold sleeve. How many copies of this sleeve variation were sent out to the shops in unknown. However, they are very rare & seldom turn up!

This LP, as stated, has a gatefold sleeve. The front part of the gatefold sleeve is printed on flimsier card. It has a die-cut buckle area at the top. It is a movable zip. This is in fully working order. It has a rectangular shaped zip. The rear part of the gatefold sleeve has a top sleeve opening. It comes with its original Picture/ Information Insert. This is printed on thick paper. The record has its original company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has COC 59100 A3 and COC 59100 B3 matrix numbers. "ROLLING STONES RECORDS" and "T.M.L" are machine etched in the dead wax on both sides.

This is a genuine UK original 1971 pressing with the rarest "Gatefold" sleeve variation. As stated, these were allegedly a mis-pressed sleeve. They seldom turn up for sale. Don't miss out! Gatefold Sleeve: There is a 4.5 cm piece of the sleeve which has been torn away at the top edge of the front sleeve only (see photo). This is at the top part of the belt buckle. There is also a small 2.5 cm hairline tear at the bottom of the buckle area on the front sleeve (see photo). There is a 2 cm seam split at the bottom of the spine edge (see photo). There is some light, mild or very mild fading, to a varying degree, to the white areas of the sleeve. There is mild fading to the spine area. There is light, very mild or very minor rubbing wear on the spine face on a few areas. The spine text is completely legible. The zip is in perfect working order. There is some light, very mild or very minor ringwear on a few areas. This is mainly on the rear sleeve. Overall, Good++ condition

Vinyl: There are two small 1 cm surface rub marks, or surface scuff marks, on Side 2. There is a very small area of smaller (0.5 cm to 1 cm) surface rub marks, or surface scuff marks, on Side 2 too. There is a light 2 cm hairline surface mark in that area too. Otherwise, there are some light, mild, very mild or very minor sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can only be seen under a strong light. Side 1 is in Very Good++ condition. Side 2 is in a strong Very Good condition. Overall, Very Good+ condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition & show minimal spindle wear only. The company paper inner sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & fading. There are no seam splits.

The Picture Insert is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light or very mild fading to the white areas. There is a very mild crease in one corner tip area.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall & Excellent in many places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are about 4 mild or very mild clicks on "Wild Horses" on Side 1. There are a few light or very mild intermittent clicks at the start of "Sister Morphine" on Side 2. These do not last long. There are a couple of mild clicks at the end of that track too. There are a few mild or very mild clicks at the start of "Moonlight Mile" too. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.
