This is The 1977 rare release that was distributed by Atlantic records. I picked this up to replace a "missing" copy of the 1971 press and as a result , this is in EXCELLENT condition. Rolling Stones Records COC- 39105- with a working zipper cover.
This is the Stones 11th US studio LP. This was the 1st time that Mick Taylor was on an entire Stones LP. It was also the 1st time that Jagger played a guitar on a stones record. This was the bands first recording on their own label and also the 1st time the stones introduced their tongue and lips logo. ( Sweet Taste of Joy -I think ?) This LP rates an EXCELLENT and has zero surface noise !!  Side 1 - Rates an Excellent and if not for a very faint few seconds of ticking on cut 1, would rate an Excellent to Near Mint !! You won't hear the needle much even in between cuts. Side 2  - Also Rates an Excellent and would also rate EX/NM , if not for a 1 second click and brief, faint ticking on cut 3. Vinyl looks VG+ to EX  and has  a gorgeous shine. Cover is VG + Bottom seam is tight with just slight fraying. Top seam is VG+ and reveals the view into the zipper and says " Andy Warhol- This photograph may not be etc. " The spine is tight but with a peel on the y of Sticky and the fing on fingers and on the t and e  part of the rolling stones. Art work is Excellent on the front and back covers. There is a slight bend on upper right. The original inner sleeve is VG+/ Excellent with a 1 and 1/2 tear  This Warhol conceived cover managed to get the cover banned in both Russia and Spain. The Album was # 1 in the UK and The US for 4 weeks and is ranked # 63 on Rolling Stone Magazines list of the 500 Greatest Albums of all Time !! This is an Excellent copy of an EXCELLENT album !!! I have play tested every listed album using Goldmine & Metrowax as my grading guides and the ratings are based mostly on what I hear.  I purchased every album brand new and always removed the shrink in an attempt to avoid warping, (Old wives tale?) and all were played on a top quality turntable and only with a  diamond needle.

All records are from my personal collection unless otherwise noted.  Most of the early and mid-60’s LP’s include the “Russo record rating system” – these ratings are written in ink and include purchase date, price and store.  The majority contain original inner sleeves and if not a sleeve will be included.  Please see photo’s for spindle wear and label condition and the song listings.
