Description

A 1st pressing from March 1971 on the UK Rolling Stones label. Matrix A4/B3. Etching "TML / Rolling Stone Records". Please note, importantly, there is no mention on the labels of "Promotone". These were later copies and this is the bona fide 1st press. The Lp comes housed in a top-loading Warhol designed cover printed by Richard Davis Ltd [1st issue] with a pinched spine. Also included is the original lyric insert and the original date coded inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In nice shape and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection we could make out a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal. We detected a touch of light static in a couple of the quieter tracks on side 2. But nothing noticeable or likely to interfere with the lovely rich sound on offer here. These 1st pressings were the BEST. 
Cover (Ex) Has clearly been very carefully cared for down the years. The Zip is in full working order and has not rusted/oxidized at all - nice! The flap of the belt is nearly always torn and hanging off - not here! There's the usual surface indentations from the zip on the rear - and a horizontal mark both sides. Do bear in mind that these indentations are present on all copies - that zip famously caused a lot of trouble when they were stacked on the shop shelf! The cover has a nice 'newish' feel to it - there's none of the foxing that these covers usually suffer. Edge wear is relatively light and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very fine example indeed...
Lyric insert (Ex) No foxing, one minute mark. Real nice.
Inner (Ex-) Fine - no splits.
